    " ZEROFILL" what does it do?

    Hey There,
    Will Zerofill wipe out hard drive utilities such as : Easy Bios, Easy Drive, Compressed Hardrives, ETC.................
    I have never used this utility before.....And are there differant types of this program, if so what is the best?

    zero fill "writes" a zero to every sector thus insuring there is no data (1's) left. yes it will erase viruses,all data, easy bios, any/all commands that are stored on the HD.

    basicly it returns the drive to the same condition it was when it left the factory brand new.

    I would recomend using the zero fill program from the manufacture of the HD ie if its a western digital use their program (wddiag.exe) or a seagate ,use their program.

    I believe all are free except fujitsu.

    post the name brand of the HD in question and one of the techs will point you in the right direction.
