    Laptops and RAM

I have a laptop i want to upgrade to its max ram capacity of 320 mb. I do this by adding 256 to the current setup. Will this boost my performance? Its an 800mhz celeron with a shared video card. Will WinXp start faster and will it help in general applications? (Not necessarily gaming).

Heck, yes it will. you're only running 64mb ram right now? that was the MINIMUM for win2k. xp is more of a memory hog than win2k, so pumping it up to 320 should yield a nice performance boost. Go for it!!
