    Humbug *this*

(And I've clocked back to 1.6Ghz because I don't want to sizzle my pretty new Rio player when I hook it up to download mp3s)

    <--- Intel user

    Grentarc: AMD user.

<--- leads G-man in UD WUs returned

Before opening your mouth to diss the Intel, first make sure you're not gonna get a load of dust in it

jk your help for UD is appreciated Grentarc and other AMDheads

Doesn't an AMD cpu do much better for UD though?

    yes, it does.

    Of course it does!

AMD's CPUs are better, even if intel's CPUs are better!

    This is great.

It's a "UD fleet," as Tojo would say.

OK well, then be that way...

Intel's CPUs would do better in compiler operations and such because of their higher clockspeed, and in compiling high FSB and clockrates really do matter, but,

in the CPU comparison chart my 1.5 XP outdoes a 1.5P4 in this compilation...

Of course a 1.5 XP does outperform a 1.5 P4, but I thought it wouldn't be so far ahead in something that represents the lower P4's only strength.

I was just wondering as in SETI a AMD system like 2000+ will do much better than 2000mhz P4.
