Serious XP errors and AIW 7500?
note: this also posted on video card board . . .
Running XP Pro on Athlon XP2000, MSI KT266Pro2-RU (with raid and usb2) mobo, a recent but not the latest 4 in 1 and a recent (but not the latest) bios. Plenty of DDR and hard drive space; ATI AIW 7500 with the latest drivers from ATI, including hydravision and remote control.
AIW 7500 is Very cool - good video, good captures etc. Fast enuf for my gaming skills.
But: maybe once or twice a day the screen will go dark for a few swcs and then comeback. Then every other day or so windows xp will blow out and then the machine reboots. After I log back in a dialog box comes up and tells me Windows has recovered from a serious error and do I want to tell MS about it.
So I say yes but they never seem to have any details. Looking at the files that go up to MS is no help for me -- one file is gobbledygood assempbly stuff I cannot comprehend and the other is a report on the system set up that is long and does not seem to have any clues.
Doubt it should matter but I log on as a user with admin rights.
I have not found any consistency what I was doing at glitch time.
Any ideas on cause or how to diagnose?
Oh yes: I often use amcap32exe for video capture and watching tv (instead of the ATI software) but it gives me an error when exiting. Any ideas on this?

Is the HEAT inside the PC case
get some powerful fans inside the case
and leave a open slot besides the ATI all in Wonder
the capture box generates a lot of heat
combined with the GPU and XP CPU heat is amazingly hot
not counting the heat comming from the sound card and nic card
and specially the toster HDDs
