Restoring windows 98 fonts to the originals

I work for a company that writes their own 3rd party software. I am currently at a client site who is complaining of overlapping text in one of our products. This is caused by the wrong system font being used. Just reinstalling our fonts package isn't fixing the problem and I was wondering is there a way to reset win98 2nd to it's original condition just pertaining to fonts? Can I change the default system font?

    YES there is

    and is rather simple

create a backup copy of the fonts inside the fonts folder of a brand new Win98 install

then on those crapped out systems

    delete them all

and replace them withthe ones from your clean backup

    done
