can i unlock a duron 1200 and run it at 333fsb ?
how far can it goes ?
system spec :
MSI KT3 ultra2
samsung pc2700 ddr ram
My advice with that board would be to upgrade to a gf4ti video card and an Athlon Xp processorr ather than try and overlcxock it - as you probably wont see much gain and if you do it'll hardly help
I have an old duron spitfire that I ran at 150fsb (that translates to 300) for over a year. No problem. The only thing holding it back was the ram and mobo.
why i'm not overclocking the duron ?

i means set the multiplier at 7.5 and fsb at 166 the chip is only running 45mhz more than default.
Let me know how you get on!
The CPU will not reach 333 fsb at all.
The max you could get maybe around 133 Mhz or less , unless you have some excellent cooling.
