Well, it goes without saying that darinu and eFrisky were great motivators for the team. They held the bar up for alot of us!

    Thanks, guys!

    LOL!

You look like you're doubling his output. The GSA used to put out 25+ a day when it was running hot, he's tuned it down a lot.

I wish you guys could have gone toe to toe before the GSA got all old and infirm

... just be gentle when you run over the old fella...

My output is up and down, pretty much because I'm trying to sort out Windows 2000 Direct3D video issues.

Might just get a new mobo and try it from there, or a new PC.

You could always save on fans and cooling stuff, you guys don't haven't needed too much in the way of cooling recently

How was the weekend? It got up to a balmy -35 degrees?

Not that it's much better here - I opened the window in the computer room on Friday, overclocked the snot out of the P4-2.0/8500radeon system I have and got 9500 3dmarks out of it. When I finished the test the cpu temp was at 15 degrees C... now that's natural cooling (it was about -25 outside at the time)

Well he may be calling me out, I still have the computers I did at my disposal, I have just found better uses for My cpu power, servers, gaming, and I have been doing some heavy encoding ect for a few months.

Sterling just doesnt motivate me the timeless battle between me and tking did.

Well we're up to -10 or so today, we're saved! (Until nightfall)

I only have one extra chassis fan in there besides the Volcano 8 SE... but it's my **** mobo and video card. I managed to play Operation Flashpoint on a new install of Win2K Server SP3, but only because I ran everything in Glide. D3D is toast under an NT OS. Go back to WinME and everything's fine. Go Figure.

Going to leave it as is for now and crunch some WUs.

But of course, we are all on the same team after all... I was just trying to get Gib going because his improved output makes us all look good.

I heard that... I'm out of town again for a month, working, the vagabond soundman... I took a chance (lightning) and left a couple of crunchers going this time, all those zeroes last time made me sad.

I'll see if I can mooch some cpu time while I'm out here in L.A., heheh. At least I'm working now...

Oh, and I'd also be interested in new seti info...

my output has been lacking recently. Mainly due to system upgrades this month. Most of the old Ppro's that were slowly doing all my crunching have been put out to graze, and the new P4 1.6's are proving a little harder to bring into the fold, mostly due to our new OS - Win2K, and the restrictions that have been put in place with it.

I can't access anything on the boot drive that isn't my own (i.e. only my docs and settings) so settings for other users/all users are off limits.

I had been putting setihide into the startup folder on the old win2k machines upstairs, but these new ones are locked down tight, and I can't think of a way round it other than actually asking the individual users if they mind me putting it on their PC's.

    **** security protocols!

anyone have any ideas, short of bribing an administrator?
