    Norton Speed Disk and Win2K, only two of my Partitions visible, Y??

    Ok I installed Norton Utilities 2002 on my system running win2k. I did this a month ago and everything went great, speed disk showed all eight of my partitions. Well I got a new MB and a new HD, so I formated and had to reinstall everything. Well now when I run Speed Disk, it only shows two of my partitions. Which wouldn't be so weird except it is showing one Fat32 and one of the NTFS drives. Why is it not showing the rest of them??

    I ran LiveUpdate and got the patch, but still only two drives.

    I emailed and called Symantec and they wont reply.

    So I turn here to the real experts.

    Have you looked in Disk Management (DISKMGMT.MSC) to see if drive letters have been assigned?

    They are assigned I believe.
    I am logged in as Admin, but I do have some of the drives limited where no one but me can access them, would that affect it?

    Yes. You can't hide drives and then access them. With NTFS, you can limit individual folder access, but not whole drives - unless it's over the LAN.

    All my users are denied access to all the drives but two. But these are not the two that show up. I will see what I can do tonight after I get home and re-install everything, I have to mod my Chrome orb HSF cause it hits the PowerConnector on this new MB. Shouldn't be nothing the Dremel can't handle, just have to ake a little out of three or four of the fins. Anyway, thanks for the help, I will see what I can get it to do tonight.
