AP English mac poem
What do you think of this poem I wrote for AP English:
The Mac
It came in a box taller than me
Covered with colorful charts
Foam and cardboard held it in place
So its glass and plastic would be unharmed
It was unsheaved from its plastic cocoon
And laid to rest on an old table
The keyboard and mouse placed
Amid manuals, CDs and disks
The screen blinked to life
Performa whirred through self checks
Loaded software
And became useful
Displayed many pictures
Rendered countless graphics
Searched for information
Played numerous sounds
Nine years and two computers later
The mac still sits on a table
Its fans purr quietly
And its display hums
I use a better computer
Frustrated by waiting mere seconds
Performa's snail-like pace maddens me
So it sits on its table
Kinda lame, huh?

It took me 5 minutes. That much more time for less boring ventures (sysopt)
