    Trying to Fix Friends Computer

This is the setup A Celeron 766 MHz CPU, 88MB Ram, 20 GB HDD, Jetway 601CF MB, Windows98SE.
When I turn on the computer a message window appears with this: "Your hard disk is to fragmented you should uninstall Recovery GeniusĀ® and defrag your disk." I run a full system clean up Disk clean up, Scan Disk, Defrag Drive.
I reboot the system and get the same Message.
    I'm stumped?
Besides being a piece of **** MB any help would be nice.

    From http://216.239.33.100/search?q=cache...hl=en&ie=UTF-8

Q2. Why does the system crash after installing Recovery Genius
    2000?
A2. If you did not run scandisk and defrag the hard disk prior to the installation some problems may occur, to fix the problem. A.) Uninstall Recovery Genius 2000 B.) Run scandisk and defrag C.) Reinstall the Recovery Genius 2000.

So uninstall Recovery Genius, defrag, and then reinstall Recovery Genius.

I hate using ghosted HDD images to restore Windows back to a HDD. I have seen too many incidents where a slight change in hardware or BIOS settings can hoop the ghost. You want to install Windows, do it the right way, back up your documents/pix/mp3's to a removable form of media, format and do a clean install.

No No No Ghost is a godsend. But here's what you do.
    you ghost a hd immage.

Don't even bother booting into the ghosted immage. Just pop in XP and do a repair. When you turn it after the restart you'll be in heaven. All your hardware will be set up. Just download the huge windows update files and whamo, you got a finished pc full of all the apps you love and use.

Try reinstalling all your fav games and running all the cracks or patches each time. You'll be buisy for a week.

What I can't wait for is XP's service pack to come out. I want to patch my XP install cd with all the updates so I don't have to download all those updates.
Please email me at anony1@hotmail.com if you have any info.
