Yes, that is a bit low... You should be around 12k points... I get over 10k with my Ti4400 and XP1700+
What kind of motherboard are you useing? Are you useing the latest detonator drivers? What about stuff like vsync, and AA... Were those disabled as well?

I think your score is right...very good
with a xp 2200+ you can get much more.
you can get 200-300 more by downloadin the latest drivers
set your pci texture memory to atleat 21 mb!
and download riva tuner to just tweak your card..

grimfandango we had a thread about pci memory size and agp cards!
PCI memory size does not make games etc run faster when u an AGP card!
it even says that in my MSI geforce manual
cheers for the tuner thing!
-
Well on my MSI ti4200 if i dont set the PCI texture mem to Default (from the display control panel NOT Rivatuner as this is the proggy that causes the prob) my 3d marks drop by 4 - 5k marks...

On the new 40.x drivers the PCI memory texture is a thing of the past.
it can't even find that option anymore

That score isn't right at all for the type of hardware he's got... I've got a slower card and slower processor then he's got and still scoring higher. There is something holding his system back.
Have you tried installing the latest VIA 4in1 drivers???
