Is this right?!?!
I have a machine with an athlon xp 2200+, 512 pc-2700 ddr333, geforce 3 elsa gladiac 920, and a 7200 rpm 30g hard disk. I ran 3d mark 2001 pro, and I got a score of around 7312 or something. Is this high average or low? Thanks..

Not certain but for a geforce 3 that sounds about on the mark. You tried overclocking the card yet?

No I have not
Should I overclock the card? Its the later gladiac 920 - with the nice black fan, pcb and heatsinks. What do you all think I should do? And how do I go about overclocking my gf3?

Might as well overclock it, afterall although it reduces card lifespan, it'll be obsolete in 3 years. Firstly go to www.guru3d.com and download Rivatuner, then slowly but surely use it to overclock memory, say adding 10mhz increments, then running 3dmark or a game, then go up another 10Mhz... continue this until visual erors appear, then drop back10Mhz, repeat this process for the Core speed, but dont go so far as core is more succeptible to damage (say 50Mhz o/c at the most)
Have fun

your score is pretty good for an gf3!
the best program for overclockin is riva tuner.
ftp://files.3dnews.ru/pub/tweakers/v.../rtuner111.zip
also once you overclock you may need to provide coolin for the ram as well!
good luck!
