Oh, well that makes sense...
For those of you who didn't notice, the VIA KT333 chipset supports AGP 1x-2x-4x-8x
I hadn't thought it did, but apparently it does in fact support the newer 8x standard, shows that here http://www17.tomshardware.com/mainbo.../kt333-01.html
And here I thought I had to wait for the KT400
*facepalm*

I'm ashamed that I read both of these posts.
J/K. I did not know about the KT3 supporting 8X AGP, Mr. Dracas. Thanks!

... but VIA recently said AGP 8x is broken in KT333, hence no products using it are advertizing the feature.

Frackity Frack'n Frack - what do you mean Broken? How do you break a revision of an Adapter architecture this day and age and still place the product on the market without getting gangraped?
Got links to the articles you read that at?

Same here ... heard the same thing about KT333, and as every "new first kid" of VIA it faults were corrected in KT400 (which officially supports AGP 8x).
Revision CE of KT333 doesn't support AGP 8x as well.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers
