Networking blues since xp pro has come...

Hey guys!... I have a problem with my network...I currently have two PCs (750mhz, 256 ram etc, NIC...etc) that are connected through a lynksys CABLE Router. This unit acts as a hub as well for my LAN needs. I was using Windows ME on both pcs and used the networking wizard to set things up. I was able to see both pcs on the network. Now since I have installed XP PRO on both pcs and have followed the directions specified on the XP help section under home small office networking... I still do not see the other computer under "my network Places" Both systems are using fat32, not NTFS. Maybe I may have over looked something.. could you guys help me out and shed some light over here??? = ) thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAKE SURE DHCP is on in your Linksys

then make sure each PC is automatically getting IP and DNS

and in your XP, make sure it has the BUILD IN XP FIREWALL DISSABLED

you also need to have identical usernames and passwords on each system.

make sure they are both in the same workgroup.
