    Port isn't open

W2K server connected to the internet through a dialup. Everything works fine on this computer. XP Pro is networked to it and is sharing an internet connection. I can load web pages on the XP machine but can't connect to P2P file sharing services. It seems that port 6699 is blocked.

    Any ideas would be appriciated!

It will be impossible for someone outside you LAN to connect to XP because of the NAT translation in ICS. Your IP is private and cannot be seen from outside. It will appear as if the Win2K machine is you from outside.

As far as connecting to other P2P clients outside of you LAN, you shouldn't have any problem with that.

I would move your P2P stuff to the Win2K box.
