Scripts while logging out of Windows

Is it possible to write a script while logging out of windows or restarting the machine that will clear all the temp files, the temporary internet files etc..I could do it by putting it in autoexec.bat, but that would take a long time for the machine to start up. So if this script could be executed while restarting the machine or logging out, it would be wonderful (just like ".logout" file in Linux)....Is it possible..

    Thanks
