Ontrack Powerdesk 5
Does anyone know how to backup File Notes created using Powerdesk Pro 5? I've emailed Ontrack support but have had no reply. I've added notes to alot of files & would hate to loose them if the PC died (yeh, I know that hardly ever happens! lol )
I use Win98 btw.
Ta for any help

There's probably a huge DAT file in the Powerdesk directory. Look around.

Add a note to a file, then immediatly go to Start, find files, and search for *.* with todays date, and you can even search for time, set it to the last couple minutes, shouldn't be too hard to figure out which file those notes are in.

The file's called (unsurprisingly! ) FileNote.jdb and is in the main powerdesk folder. You have to reboot after replacing it though for any changes to take effect.
OK, I admit its pretty obvious really & I may now have to change my username out of embaracement

I think it's quite possible that every one of us has asked a very obvious question a time or two. Possibly, just possibly even Bill may have done it once.
