    SUCCESS!!!!!!

We did it. My good friend from the cable company(who I'll call ther cable guy) successfully wired(wall fished)my entire hose with cat5 and coax. This consists of 9 dual feeds(wall plates with both cat5 & coax connections). I even have one in the garage.....lol

We installed the lynksys UPNP Router & it configured itself....Awesome!!!

Ok so get this, the router gives me 4 port's right, it also has an uplink port to add a hub.......so cool!!!

I just so happened to have a Lynksys 5port hub I picked up at a yard sale for $10.00.....a great steal!!!!

So uplinked the hub(which costs you a port on the router) and now I have 8 wall plugs in the house that are internet ready, just by pluging them in. YAHOO!!!!!

Well we only have 5 computers in the house, so if anyone wants to come over and go online, you're welcome anytime!

Thanks for listening eveybody. And thanks for the advice on the UPNP Router. My Daughters wish to thank you all too!!

Have just picked up a Maxtor 80 gig 7200 rpm drive and a Pacific Digital 32x12x48 cdrw, so will be upgrading the hard drive on one of the systems and adding the cdrw to the 2nd back up system.
While not the fastest, they run stable and handle everything reasonably well. Am planning to upgrade the Duron system to a Athlon XP 1700+ and a geforce 4 Ti 4200 fairly soon (I guess it will become the primary system at that point ) Later wil upgrade the main system to a KT333 board, XP something, and DDR ram, and either Geforce 3 Ti200, Radeon 8500 or maybe another GF4 Ti4200, as funds and spouse permit......

    The MD Caffeine Machine

When I'm finished modding my Chieftec Dragon case (SX1030B), it will be the Mountain Dew Caffeine Machine, with both side panels finished in MD-green with a window on one side and the Mountain Dew logo on the other. Conversation piece at LAN parties. As an extra touch, I cut up an empty Dew can and put the little (MD) thingy in my case badge.

AMD Duron 1.0GHz with AVC Tundra copper H/S and nifty clear fan
    Asus A7V266-C
    384MB RAM
Creative 3D-Blaster with Nvidia Riva TNT2 Ultra (on-par with the V3-3500), 32MB SDr
    C-Media i8738 5.1 onboard sound
    40GB 7200rpm IBM 60GXP hard drive
    4 matching Vantec Stealth fans
    Enermax 350-watt power supply
    Windows XP Pro

    Cheers

It's not cutting edge anymore, but it's still enough to do what I want to do with it Replacing the GF2MX with a Radeon 8500 next week as well.

300 Watt Beauty case. If you never heard of it, don't worry. I think I bought the only one the company made. Hmm? That could make it worth something.

The speed is determined by whether or not a cat is in my lap. The extra cat fur seems to be a plus in determining how much time I want to spend on a project. When the keyboard becomes obscured, I resort to the compressed air, thus making the actual operation of the computer slower. However, the added fur might have an insulating effect if I happened to spill a Coke on the keyboard before I remove the balled mess.
