Viewsonic and GeForce3, ATI cards...
Has anyone had problems with Viewsonic LCD monitors and GeForce3 or ATI video cards??
I was going to go buy one this weekend but I was doing a little more resarch and found some folks have been having problems with "noise" (not really sure what kind of noise they are talking about) coming from the monitors when using ATI and the monitors not working at all with GeForce3 cards.
They also stated that the company has acknowledge that they know that they have some problems. I have sent email to tech support asking for any info on this and haven't heard anything back yet.
Anyone out there can shead some light on this subject??
Thanks

The guy didn't say excatly what kind of noise it was. My guess it was some kind of hummm out of the monitor. JUST a guess on my part.
I have a Leadtec GeForce 3 Ti-200 64mb card and I asked Viewsonic if there were problems with that particluar card and haven't recieved any reply back yet.
Still thinking about gettting the 17 in 171b anyway.

Just got an email from Viewsonic. They said there is no known issues with the Leadtec GeForce 3 Ti200.
BUT they haven't tested it either.
Oh Well

If the monitor is making internal noise, it's not the vid card that's doing it,unless your running the monitor beyond it's capabilities(resolution and refresh rate). Most LCD monitors won't go above 1028x768 resolution. Maybe the folks that had this problem were trying to make their LCD monitors go above this limit?....I'm guessing.
