There are so many...I can listen to this over and over and over

Led Zeppelin - Battle Of Evermore

Queen of Light took her bow
And then she turned to go,
The Prince of Peace embraced the gloom
    And walked the night alone.
Oh, dance in the dark of night,
Sing to the morn - ing light.
The dark Lord rides in force tonight
And time will tell us all.
Oh, throw down your plow and hoe,
Rest not to lock your homes.
Side by side we wait the might
Of the darkest of them all.
    I hear the horses' thunder
    Down in the valley blow,
I'm waiting for the angels of Avalon,
    Waiting for the eastern glow.
The apples of the valley hold,
    The seas of happiness,
The ground is rich from tender care,
Repay, do not forget, no, no.
Oh,-------dance in the dark of night,
    sing to the morning light.
The apples turn to brown and black, The tyrant's face is red.

Oh the war is common cry, Pick up you swords and fly.
The sky is filled with good and bad
    That mortals never know.
Oh, well, the night is long, The beads of time pass slow,
Tired eyes on the sunrise, Waiting for the eastern glow.
The pain of war cannot exceed
    The woe of aftermath,
The drums will shake the castle wall,
The ring wraiths ride in black, Ride on.
Sing as you raise your bow,
    Shoot straighter than before.
No comfort has the fire at night
That lights the face so cold.
Oh dance in the dark of night,
    Sing to the mornin' light.
The magic runes are writ in gold
To bring the balance back, Bring it back.
At last the sun is shining, The clouds of blue roll by,
With flames from the dragon of darkness
    The sunlight blinds his eyes

    Yes, a great song!
Oh and there's a soft spoy for
Ozzy Osbourne - You Can't Kill Rock And Roll

How many times can they fill me with lies and
    I listen again
Twisting the truth and they're playin' around with my
    head O.K.
The things they will do and the things they will say
    When they don't really understand
Tears fill my eyes when I hear all the cries
    For the reason today.

And they don't really know even what they're talkin' about
And I can't image what empty heads can achieve.

Leave me alone don't want your promises no more
'Cause rock 'n' roll is my religion and my law
Won't ever change, may think it's strange
You can't kill rock 'n' roll it's here to stay.

Lookin' through eyes of time mirrors reflecting their stories
    Untrue
Promises, promises, telling me all of my glories overdue.
How many times have I heard it before
And I'll probably hear it again
King of a thousand knights, pawn in a table light
    Losing to you.

    GUITAR SOLO

Even the rhymes that they give me in times of confession
    Ain't true
Outcome is obvious all for them none for us meaning
    you too.
The things they will do and the things they will say
    When they don't really understand.
Fear of rejection I need their protection
    I'm making a stand.

Leave me alone don't want your promises no more
'Cause rock 'n' roll is my religion and my law
Won't ever change, may think it's strange
I'm born to rock 'n' roll I'm here to say.

Talk Talk - The Party's Over EMI, 1982

    Mirror Man
    Out in the street today
    We're parading around
We're the height of the fashion
And she laughs 'cos we look the same
And follow all of the rule
Every little bit of my time
Keeps me checking that my clothes are in line
    I'll identify without wasting time

    Mirror man

    Inside of her room today
    She's been working all hours
    For the final presentation
Each day, dressed a different way
She's the star of the road

Every little bit of her time
Keeps her checking that she stays out of line
She'll wear anything you can't recognise

    Mirror man

    SEE THE STATE SHE'S IN

I got a few that aren't up here yet:

    1) The Eagles - Take it Easy
    2) Grateful Dead - Touch of Grey (Gray?)
    3) Less Than Jake - Automatic

    Least favorite song right now:

    Chevy's Fresh Mex birthday song
    ------------------------------------------
On the count of tres - uno, dos, uno dos tres!
Happy happy birthday from all of us to you
We wish it was our birthday so we could party too...
    Ole!

Don't worry - there's a LOT more songs I really like - but in the interest of NOT posting the neverending post....

    I also like this one...

    Speedo

Well now they often call me Speedo
But my real name is Mister Earl

You know, for meetin' brand new fellas
    And taking other folks' girl

Well now they often call me Speedo
Cause I don't believe in wastin' time

Well I've known some pretty women
And that's all that's ever changed their mind

Well, now some may call me Joe
    Some may call me Moe

    Just remember Speedo
He don't never take it slow

Well now they often call me Speedo
But my real name is Mister Earl

And now they gonna call me Speedo
Till they call off makin' pretty girls

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Only a few old timers will remember this...

    Hello
Does "ba didda wa da banga dang diggy diggy" (song by Kid Rock) in an ancient forgotten language really mean "My grandpa had a Chrysler and yours didn't".?
And would the correct reply to that be: "do wa diddy diddy dum diddy do".? ( Maybe he didn't but grandma can run faster")

    be well
