    2 gb outlook mail lost

    lost my outlook mail than more than 2 gb size.

    I've heard somewhere that this can happen with Outlook when it gets to that size. Oh...here it is:

    Always good to backup emails (.dbx files) to another HD or burn them on a CD (or 2 or 3...)

    If you did that you could try a full back up by replacing the corrupt files with your backed up ones, and see if it works. And then clean it up a "little"! 2 GB is more than what Outlook can handle.

    If you have Outlook Express there's a nice site that explains it all

    Hi, just try DBxtract, you can recover mails from damaged .dbx files.

    thanks guys ,,,, and also pst truncation utility but I lost some files.

    It's a good idea to use the Archive utility in Outlook to keep it trim.
