benchmark shows only 66 mhz fsb
i have a ecs k7s5a mobo w/1.2 tbird and 512 generic ddr. bios shows clock speed of 133, but pcmark2002 benchmark from madonion test says fsb is only 66 mhz. is there anyone who might be able to explain this to me? is there somewhere in win2000 that tells what the fsb is? how do i know what my bus sped is? can the benchmark be wrong, or is the bios wrong? thanx for any help...

Hi,
I can say only that when I posted my scores from 3DMark2001SE (also from Madonion) it also said that I have 66MHz FSB. But I am sure I have 100MHz (by the way I also have K7S5A ).
Try SiSoft Sandra and see what it shows for CPU and FSB.

All those programs aren't actually measuring bus speed (there is no generic, non-board-dependent way of doing this btw), they're guessing. And with every single new chipset product, the guesses may and most likely will be off.
Same here. Sandra gets it wrong too.

Benchmark may show everything it wants.
You should know it and believe your BIOS.
Also, try SiSoftware Sandra 2002.

TRY this.....
Go to this site and download CPUFSB and install it. This program not only gives you your true bus speed but it also lets you change it . It shows your bus speed in a window at the bottom of your screen in your button bar.

It's a known bug of pcmark.
