XP can use FAT32. FAT32 has file size limitations, but it is the most compatible. For drives larger than 32GB, exFAT is more efficient.

It depends on the size of the flash drive. If the drive is larger than 32GB, you'd need to use a third party app like Rufus.

I've never heard of Platinum brand before. Are you sure it says eFAT? It should be exFAT, not eFAT.
XP does NOT natively support exFAT. You'd need to install a patch for exFAT....

What is the problem exactly? The flash drive would have come formatted already. You didn't say the make/model of the flash drive, so we wouldn't know if it came formatted with FAT32 or exFAT. WinXP...
