I know how you feel. Unfortunatly I did th same thing once. What it did was fry my PSU, and nothing else. Try the other ideas first, but you might think about your PSU.

I agree with Phil K. If you already @ 2.2 gig., whats the point? It's an awful expensive chip, to risk buring it up.
