A few hundred dollars maybe but I fail to see how the system I am thinking about would cost $1000 more from alienware, the graphics card alone is near $400.

I am thinking of getting an Alienware computer, but I was wondering how much approximately I would save if I built the following myself:

Full tower case(340-Watt PS)
AMD Atlhon XP 1700
512MB...

Ive tried anything from 60hz to 100hz and the problem is still there, its less evident at 100hz but still there. Im guessing this is just an unavoidable problem with this low quality company?

Well I got it replaced and it has the exact same problem, are KDS monitors just giant pieces of **** or what?

Thanks for all the suggestions, I loaded the new drivers but its still doing it. Hopefully KDS will replace it.

I have the latest drivers for my monitor and am using the 7.52 drivers for my 3d prophet II. I tried decreasing the vertical/horizontal and if anything the problem seemed to grow worse.

I am using an Avitron 19" Flat screen, the problem is at certain resolutions: 1152,864;1280,960;1280,1024 the sides of the screen seem to vibrate. Text near the left of the screen noticebaly...
