Wouldn't that indicate it does not need a CPU to perform this test?( Power on SELF!! Test)..It doesn't. All mobo's "know" when a faulty, improper seated or no CPU is present.

Have you installed any displaydrivers? Like the NVidia Detonators?
D3D won't work if the drivers for your displayadapter aren't present..(The detonators work for all GForcecards)
