Just the IJ. Didn't think I needed to undo the Laser.
Only other USB to unplug is the scanner. Can't unplug the kbd/mouse for obvious reasons.
Didn't try deleting the ports. I'll experiment...

In the Ports menu (of either printer), the Laser is on USB001 and the IJ is on DOT4_001. In Device Manager, the IJ is listed under Dot4HPH11 and Dot4Usb HPH11. ...

Just tried it again doing it CD first then plugging in the cable when it wanted me to - still nothing.
What's next?

So try again the way the original instructions said, put the disc in first and then plug in the printer? I just hooked the printer up and let the New Hardware wizard do its thing.
