Yep, tried safe mode, still no go. And the other comp has no add-ons in FF anyway, so.... still at square 1.
I've wondered if it's an ISP issue of some kind, though I can't figure why it would...

At one point - I forgot to mention - I disabled my firewall, but no change. I'll check into other security stuff, though - just not sure what.

I would agree, except that I can't see how that would conpletely
disable a whole system, even to the point of not rebooting as far
