I just did a format to a friends computer and when I installed Nero it doesn't see the CDRW...just has one option and it is for Image recorder...what did I do wrong???

I guess the ram is bad..it failed the test, had over 2000 errors. I don't have any other ddr chips around so I had to order a couple.

If you mean physical condition they look ok to me...I got 5 different ones so I kind of ruled that out long ago.
I think the ram test is proving its faulty..theres a buch of red areas on the screen...

I'm doing that right now...not sure what the data that is coming up on the screen means though..

Just got a new asus mobo (a7v400-mx) with a semperon 2400
and a stick of 512m samsung ram...I can't load xp (home or pro)..

2.60 gig Pent 4
256 ddr
dvd-rom and dvd-r
80 gig hdd

Had XP on large 80 gig hdd, and I wanted 3 partitions, so put in fdisk and made them..format all...
