Which games do......
I don't know of any for sure, but i'm not a super gamer. I've just heard different things. If you tried running DoomIII with Ultra settings, it would probably hit the swap file a lot.
the point is, don't spend money on a new hdd with the hopes of increasing framerate. you will be disappointed.
ok then
I was just asking out of general interest....Quote:

takes FOREVER!!!! to load at first of each scene, that's because is loading all the maps and textures, etc to RAM and Video RAM, then it becomes really fast when it's actually in play.

just done another benchmark with a bit of oc
benchmarks with XG75.90A drivers.
Had to set the 2D to 401 to override the idle temp issue.
ok cool thanks a mill, that seems to have done the trick, what OC utility are you using Mid?
I just use coolbits. Clean and simple. :)
I was tweaking my mb ram timings last night. I might rebench this weekend. I need to get some sleep, though. I had a Red Bull and a Diet Dr. Pepper and I'm still zonked. )-| :x
Tightening my ram timings didn't make much diff in 05. I gained 2 points. :p not going to post a pic for that.
hey midknyte...how are those drivers performing. Are they giving you a performance increase over the last sets you were using. Any other problems with them? Might give em a try...see if I can up my scores a little:D
The 75.90s (and XG75.90s) gave me around a 100 point increase. You just need to contend with the idle temperature problem. I just used it for benching. I usually run the 71.20s.
I just ran it on my
a64 3400
512mb ram
5900xt @ ultra speeds
and i got
1209 :(
but my 6800gt is just about to arrive in the post:p
