Hmmm, lets rephrase that. Lets say my ego is semi retired. Things that would have made me drop down on somebody 20 years ago are more likely shrugged off now days. I have never cared if somebody liked me or not, but voicing your dislike to me would have meant you were going to fight me at age 20.Quote:

These days I would shrug my shoulders and figure it is not my problem. I don't fight anymore unless there is no other way out of it. I have found another way out of it for the last 14 years.
Other things that would have bothered me when I was younger don't bother me anymore. An insult to my driving abilities while riding with me would have made you an instant pedestrian, even on the interstate you would be walking. Now I would at least take an exit before putting an offending passenger out. :D More likely I would ignore you or drive even worse these days.
Kind of a shut up or die thing.
Porsh1909, I take it you are young. Enjoy it, it doesn't last long. I was 20 years old yesterday. Today I am 45. WTH did time go? You will see as you get some years that things kind of settle down and you mellow out. It happens, it is a part of maturity.
I would still drop on somebody if there was no other way, I just look for the other way first these days.
I am hoping you understand what I am saying. I am middle aged, but no where close to dead. :D
I was kind of reffering to the 'ego' sounding kinda like 'eagle' really bad joke i know....
Just the way you talked of it like it lived....hee hee:r
I get it.
Fly like an ego, to the sea.:)
Yeah, pretty bad. :p
hee hee....funny when u think about it real real hard... :p :t :-@ :r

PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC, THIS IS FOR POSTING YOUR 3DMARK 2003 SCORES...NOT FOR POSTING ABOUT EGO'S OR EAGLES OR PATHETIC JOKES!Quote:

You guys make me sick... ( I am just a tad bit jealous but don't mind me)  :D
why do my scores seem to be lacking??
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7.../3dmark032.jpg
ur cpu is only 100mhz faster...should that account for 300 points?
drivers can make a big difference. you can try optimizing the forceware/catalysts or using beta/modded drivers.
Using beta drivers is a necessity for getting high bench scores on an nvidia card. I'm breaking 14k already.
i just have the regular omega 5.4's...
Shade, you aren't hurting. Are you killing all unnecessary running apps?
Turn off Vsync when benching, etc. I only OC'd my ram for the bench. My core comes stock at 370 mhz. If I OC the core things drop a little believe it or not. About 100 points. I found that out by accident, I forgot to OC the core. :p
MK is beating me by quite a few points and I give him credit for being better at tweaking his system for the bench. He has skills. :D
This is you guys discussion ,but find all this score comparison interesting..but for one very important fact or facts that you are missing here.
You all have different machines.
Yes they may be almost exact, but there are just too many variables to worry about and the point is mute..if only you all can see and use common sense related to environmental criteria.
The focus of concentration is being put on benchmarking and overclocking...and the scores are close..yes??? That is about as good as it gets. if in fact you ran the same tests on either the smwe machine or used the same stuff in another exactly the same setup..I would guess the scores to be totally diffent each time through.   ;)
You are right. My machine never benches the same 2 times in a row. It will be close but not the same.
Remember, mos tof these benchmarks are synthetic, as such your not goign to get actual "real world" performance ocmparisons from them and theyre goign to be much more succeptible to random fluctuation and margin of error

Yay!!! I broke 12k with my 6800 GT. Not bad for an OC.

wonder if I can get any higher with these specs...

Nothing much to brag about anymore except...I did it in WOW emulation with my 6800GT with ??? drivers. The 77.72 set kills my card in both win32 and win64. I used the 77.40 64 bit set. I need drivers. :(
No drivers for you until u change ure screename!!! :p

One day I will have the best score on this forum!!
ONE DAY!!!
:p
I was number 2 for a short time :)
hey RJsPC what cooling and vcore you have on the cpu?
I'm using a Zelman CNPS 9500
I allso have a 5000BTU Air conitioner feeding the case
CPU temp at idle is 19C, at full load after 1 hour it maxed out at 31C
(this was during OC testing, at 3158MHz, VC at 1.55Vlts
For the cost the AC unit works realy well! (total cost incl ducting ect, was $73.00)
It keeps the RAM, & 7800GTX's nice and cool too.
Thanks for asking willywonka, hope your having a great day :t
My score seems low after that RJsPC.
They make me sick to thats freaky...
Heres mine bout as far as im gona oc at the moment..
AMD 4000+@ 260x11 2860mhz
Dfi sli-dr
7800gtx @ 470/1300
1gig corsair 550 @ 520mhz
Shoot, nothin wrong with that score! ww
Here is my very low 3DMark03 score, 2955 3DMarks.
Running on:
Intel Pentium 4 3.2E CPU (Socket 478)
PCCHIPS M955G Socket 478 Motherboard
ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB AGP 8X Video Card
1GB PC3200 DDR400 RAM
Hi, just been reading the problems some people have been having with mark 2003.
I must be one of the lucky ones.
athlon 64 3200
A8v-e se
1 gig corsair
Radeon x700 (silent version)
2003 score 5272
sorry dude, but with those specs, you should be getting at least 7000 in 03 (maybe more)
if that's an 05 score, that's very respectable, but for 03, it's nothing special.
I did'nt say it was special. Its just a basic score without o/c.
