The ram was 1:1 498.65mhz v2.7 1 gig geil dual ultra plat pc4200.
On thier site it says the memory can do v2.6-3.1 only needed 2.7
vcore only 1.575 the 3.2 seems to do better at low voltage

Thermaltake xaser lll case all fans on full .....front open, side covers off..........50-54F room temp. But it still got hot. So I will either be puting in waterchill or vaporchill soon.

52.16 DX9-9b?....the 5175's seem to score better below the 5800's. (if you are using 52.16's you need to re-install dx9 after the drivers)
That seems way to low for that system....you should be hitting high 4's low 5's at stock clock on the 5600.

I'm running XP w/ service pack 1
I am using 52.16 drivers so i reinstalled DX9.0b and that gave me about 100 more marks, but nothing big. I ran 3dmark 2001se and aqua mark too, they both pretty much suck too. 2001 got 8000 marks :( and auqa mark got 16,700, which i guess is low for my configuration.
What make card is it Budafooko?
Do you have lots of things running in XP? (right click my computer...click properties....then advanced tab...performance setting.....you can turn a bunch of that junk off) that should bump your speed up.Quote:

My aqua mark is 55000+ 2001 20000+ you shouldn't be that far behind me. Those scores are to low for you I hope one of these lniks can help. There are some pretty smart people over there.
The card is a gainward ultra/760 tv/dvi, not overclocked. Thanks for the links, i'll see if i can't find something.
Ok, so a word to the wise: When gainward puts the word "Ultra" in the name, it doesn't mean the card is an ultra. Looked it up on the internet since it doesn't say anywhere on the box. It's just the regular version with 5.0ns ram running at 275/550. that could explain things a little
OK I have a story for you. First off I installed the latest drivers for my Radeon 9800XT and got 3160 in the bench. OF COURSE I wasn't happy about this so I downloaded and installed the catalyst 3.9 drivers from ati site AND MY BENCH IS: 5988

Its normal, that you get low FPS in the second CPU test. I had 635 CPU-marks on my Athlon XP 2700+@3000+ (13.5x178) and I alos only had 12.7FPS in the second CPU-test (but 62.3 in the first). If anyone askes, whey I dont use a higher FSB: this clock speeed is not final, it was w/ my old cheap PC2700 memory. I am still testing the max. stable oc w/ my new memory.Quote:

I would recommend getting a Athlon64 because you will soon need 64bit: a 64bit version of the or UT2003 will be released as soon as the 64bit version of Windows, which will be probably in the second quater of 2004 and Epic announced, that in 2005 they will release a game only for 64bit CPUs and I am sure, that other manufacturers will follow Epic soon.
If you cannot aford an Athlon64 system, I would recommend the Epox 8rda3+ which officially supports the 200MHz FSB and can be oced very good.

In another forum (pcpitstop) in the pit test my P4 3.2@4000 mhz is only 19 pt's in front of a 64@2400 mhz. Man 1600 mhz to beat his score...OUCH.

On Tomshardware they even oced an Athlon64 FX-51 from 2.2GHz to 2.8GHz (using compressor cooling):

I was originally thinking about upgrading to an Athlon 2600 on my Epox, because it's the highest rated processor it will support, but I gather that's something I should avoid? In regards to affording an upgrade to a 64 bit processor, I've got a healthy six figure income, so money isn't a big issue, BUT I've been doing periodic upgrades from my original PC back in '91, and it gets old after awhile dropping $200 on video cards and $500 on motherboard combos only to have them become yesterday's news in 1-2 years. I've come to the conclusion that it's clearly impossible to keep up with technology and it's a futile effort trying. Based on this, what route would you recommend?

The Athlon64 will last longer than any other CPU because it is the best CPU, is oceable and it will get an additional perormance boost from 64bit-apps.

I'm with MrBurns ....go for the 64 Fx when the new 64bit software is out nothing will touch it.

The cheats only make the card faster when using 3DMark, because the driver checks if 3DMark runs and reduces the quality or doesnt render anything which isnt seen on the screen. These things only increase th performance in 3DMark, but not in real games. Everything that also increases the performance in real games is not cheating for Futuremark.Quote:

All my games run fine at 1600X1200 if they have it. Or 1200X1080
all highest quality settings....they look better then I can see;)
And I'm using 51.74's for gaming...the only time I ever saw the lag was with my p4 3.06 & ti4600 & 9700pro but I think it was the intel chip. I hated that chip....but I'm really happy with this one!
Also the abit lets you turn off that ###$! thermal throttling intel uses.
I rather think, that it was the GPU. I also have a Ti 4600 and I can only play UT2003 fluid at max. 1158x864 and low details or 1024x768 and highest details. When my CPU isnt oced, I can only use 1024x768 and high (but not highest) details.Quote:

You only get thermal throttling when your CPU gets very warm. Its better for your CPU to get a better cooling than to turn of thermal throttling.Quote:

Yes I know.....but my 3.06 used to go up and down even when the temps were low 18-21C. One test vroom next test snail speed. I was never happy with the intel performance so I kept going back to AMD. But this new one:)
