I bumped up my cpu fsb to 137 and had the ram timings at 7 2 2 2.5 and my score got to 1398 but that is as high as I can get it at the moment. I can get the fsb higher but the 3dmark score starts going down from there.
I will have to look up on how to unlock my cpu multiplier as my motherboard is not doing it automatically.

hey zeebs is the defualt clock for the ti4600 300/600?
You'd technically score much higher, but the nature test is where the DX9 cards get all the boost, but the DX8 cards get penalized because they cannot run it.

go to www.guru3d.com and navigate to downloads, ati drivers, and find radlinker&radclocker(one link)
install radlinker and it appears as ana dditional tab with sliders and you overclock, dead simple.:t
I think the most probable reason is that my motherboard supports 8x agp which runs on my vid card. i noticed a huge improvment from 4x to 8x agp. That and AMD's OWN!!! :cool:

I got my cpu unlocked and set it to 10x 166 and got a score of 1408. 10 points higher than overclocking with the fsb only.
I then started bumping up the fsb and got it to 10x 173 and scored 1427 with no programs running in the background.
I get 1421 without closing programs.
When I was trying to overclock more I started getting blue screens during 3dmark03.

Bob, you have a gf2mx 200 sitting on the PCI bus. Your card has a low clock, two pipes, no pixel or vertex shaders, and slow 64-bit SDRAM.
This benchmark is designed to task cards running twice as fast or more, with 8 pipes, tons of pixel and vertex shaders, and fast 256-bit DDR RAM.
The only test you can run is test 1, and since that's primarily single textured it doesn't even take advantage of the second TMU on your card's twin pipes. All you have is fill rate which is limited by a slow core and two pipes, and bandwidth, which is almost non-existent, being less than one fifteenth that of a Radeon 9800 Pro, or one twentieth of a 5900 Ultra.

oh yeah and guys, when it gets artifacty i pull off. if i increase agp voltage a little bit will i be able to get higher timings?
yip, 2964 best so far, I might just mangae to break the 3000 barrier but not by much, but thats a nice oc you got there.:D
u think i have to increase voltage? cuz if i go any higher i get slight artifacts, and on "hot hardwares" review they raised agp voltage to 1.70 volt and then they raised the ati radeon 9600 pro to like 537 clock and 360 something memory. i was like WHOA
so should i increase my voltage?

but you could oc that barton a little more, mines is at 2328(12x195) with one fan and the slk800. would get you a few more 3d marks.:t
im still with stock hsf, and + when i run at 400 fsb it crashes on video games, but not on 3d mark. maybe because im still at 1.65v do i need to bump it?
wait till you got a good heatsink, upping the core voltage increases the heat output quite a bit. You seem to be doing pretty good with your set so far.:)

If you have enough ram disabling the page file gives you better overall system performance. With the page file disabled the OS doesn't read/write system info to the disk, it instead keeps it in ram which is faster, at about the same CPU cost as disk access.

Doing this would waste a lot of the RAM. The reason is that when programs ask for an allocation of Virtual memory space, they may ask for a great deal more than they ever actually bring into use — the total may easily run to hundreds of megabytes. These addresses have to be assigned to somewhere by the system. If there is a page file available, the system can assign them to it — if there is not, they have to be assigned to RAM, locking it out from any actual use.”
I do a lot of video and audio editing on this machine. Depending on the app there can be as much as 500 mb or more of swap in constant use. It makes a difference when doing something like that, but for everyday desktop use you wouldn't see a difference.
In my experience you get better results from configuring your system to avoid using the page file rather than from disabling it. There are some applications that require it.

everything is alright with my system i installed it yesterday. no slowdowns in games no crashes
9.0b fixes a critical security issue in all but win2003 (where its calssed as important).
