yes, lowering the resolution will give you a higher score. I always take the default settings for 3dmark (1024x768). I guess I won't beat my head into a wall trying to figure out what is going on. :p I got other things on my mind ATM, like work. ack. :(Quote:

So just so you no mine was not at default, I changed my screen Rez to 800X600 and no sound test.
Is this what made me get so high?
As for my cpu, I run at 3.8G (237x16). I included that with my pic (CPU-Z). I try to include Video speeds, CPU speed and score. That's what I see people doing on other forums.
glad ur not smacking ur head on the wall so hard, ahh guess my score dont count to much yet, ill post again later with the correct defaults, I must not have changed them back after the crashing problems I was having.
NP. I only did a couple runs with the VXG 71.24As then I went to sleep. As a consolation, it got me to at least try out Daishi's drivers. Nothing works on insomnia like a 14+ hour workday. :p
First run with new card.....12151
BFG 6800Ultra (450, 1.17Ghz) using 67.66 drivers
AMD 64 3500 (@215x11)
1Gb corsair XMS3200 (2,3,3,5)
Its lookin good...but gotta get more
new drivers maybe
Ahhhh....new Forceware 71.25 drivers.....
13,650
:D
yep. drivers make a big difference. unfortunately, the only approved drivers are the 66.93s. anything we do with other drivers is just for fun. :t
hmm... i need to install 2003 again and see what i get with default settings
Here's my result from build 3.1? (off an old cover disk)
Ran at default settings but the final sound test froze and I had to press escape, but I got a score of
797
My specs are:
Athlon 700Mhz
Gigabyte 71XE
640 Mb SDRAM
Inno3D Geforce 3 Ti500 (nVidia 21.83 drivers)
Samsung SP0802N HDD (7200rpm, 2mb)
Any good?

Finally got my 6800 (Leadtek, the one with copper cooling, looks great with my NF7, copper memspreaders, mobo cooling and fan guards! hehe), the pipeline wasn't unlockable without artifacts, but i'm hoping to change that with a bios flash, volt mod and some as5 sometime this week. The vertex shader unlocked no problems and i've bench looped for over a day with a stable overclock of 390/890. Not bad... running 66.93 and waiting new official drivers. Once they're out, i'll mix it up with some beta's and xtreme drivers.

...not bad, not bad. :)

A few tweaks and voila!
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=3733449
1700+ @ 2.45Ghz (222x11)
768MB CH-5 2/2/2/5
6800NU @ 390/890
WD 80/120GB JB's
11339
Imagine what you 'd get with a big CPU upgrade... great score with that processor....
Probably be a cold day in hell before I could afford one of those,so I am stuck with my Fx5900..but it does a fine job overall in most everything out there to date.....but a score of 5870 is a long ways from 1100+. ;)
Here I sit remembering hitting 6500+ with my 3200 @ 2.5 and my 9800 Pro oc'd, not too long ago. And it was the best score at the time! sigh....... Time to retire Betsy and bring in the new. She' been a good ol' girl.
Hey hon, can I use the visa card this weekend???
Intel p4 2.4B
384Mb memory
GeCube radeon 9550 speedy edition
running at 475/325 core/mem
score is 3765
Here's my latest with the XG 75.90A drivers.
There is an idle temp issue. I had to set the 2d at 401 for core. Other specs are on the pic.
Gotta run to the gym. 3dm05 later tonite.
