chrome works and it doesn't .

I've recently had to reinstall windows 10 .
The only hiccup with this reinstall is google chrome.
Microsoft edge works great .
Firefox works great.
Chrome will not connect on line but somehow still can retrieve gmail.

I then created a separate account for my wife to use on the same computer and Chrome WORKS Great on her account.
Same computer two different accounts works on one but not on the primary account.
Any insight as to why?

i'm using a core i7 x980 3.33 GHZ
with 24 GB of ram
1 TB hybrid drive , Win 10pro 64bit version 1809

Did you reset Chrome?
