I have a 939. I have DDR 500 so I don't need to run a divider. I have HTT set at 4x. I have the vcore at 1.45 and of course the 260 x 10.
Easy OC for this chip really but I won't push it anymore. It starts getting warm at any higher OC. I have 32 idle and 46 load which is fair.
well i got it to 2.6 but i started to get artifacts and errors, so i had to drop it back down.
Try 250 x 10. My chip will run that at stock vcore. I am up and down between the two. 2.6 in the winter and 2.5 in the summer.
The 10 multi is what my particular chip likes. Others have better luck with a 9 or even stock and upping the FSB. Every darned chip is different. Some won't overclock at all. That is an RMA in my book. Overclock or get put into an HP or Dell where the user has no choice. :D
If I can't squeeze 400 mhz out of an A-64 then it is a worthless chip IMO. I can grab 300 mhz with stock volts. Excellent. I will eventually see what this chip can do at 1.6 vcore. I figure 2800-3000 mhz are mine but she is going to be hot. I will wait until I am thinking of upgrading before I go for the PUSH!!
That way, I either get what I want, or I get what I want. LOL
Another test with my new build.
Slightly overclocked processor and video card (well slightly is an understatement)
