If the card originally came in retail box, you got ATi's viewer software on the CD that came with it.
-
ya its retail. you think that will really work?
that you be pretty dam cool.
-
Of course. Video game consoles are just like any other kind of device that emits a video signal. The video-in port doesn't care where that comes from, whether it's a camera, a VCR, a DVD, a video game console or whatever else you come up with.

whats the exact name of the software? is it pinnacle studio ?
:edit: got it working now but i cant get audio to work. also do you know of better software to do this with? (im thinking of a media player type program) playing xbox in pinnacle studio is kinda like playing a dvd in adobe photoshop :p :edit:

You need to connect the audio signal too - into the soundcard's Line-In - and enable the Line-In in the mixer applet.
Viewing the video source is best done in the viewer application that hopefully came with that video card. Else look whether things like MediaPlayer support that input.

install and use the ATI player that came with the card. do as peter says with the line in cord
i repeat this because i have an old all-in-wonder and i use it all the time to play nintendo 64 games on an extra pc. works wonderful
thier great cards to play with, im trying to find me a newer one. my old one only has 8 mb :(
