Suggestions on which gaming desktop to buy

Hi,

Can anyone give me any suggestions of which gaming pc desktop I should get? I play Online games a lot but mainly Warhammer. But dont wish to pay more than a thousand on it. Any suggestions? Another thing is what is the difference between AMD and Intel?

Online, about any pc the store have can handle them. Now if you buy a game, CD or DVD, that is a totally different story.
