Nord VPN Bandwidth Loss

My son uses this and I decided to give it a try. When I used a VPN at work I would notice a 10 -20% bandwidth loss due to the encapsulation being used and could live with that. With Nord I am seeing some real strange figures. I have Comcast and doing speed tests to Ookla and Comcast I typically get about 295 Meg down and 25 up. After installing Nord I get 23 - 65 down and 2 -15 up. That seems quite a bit odd to me. I've been communicating with their tech support, but am not sure how far I want to play around with this. Their last suggestion was to edit a gpedit.msc changing "Limit reservable bandwidth" to change the bandwidth limit to 0%. I cannot do this as I get an error when I try to open the file as administrator.

I'm wondering if anyone else has seen big bandwidth losses with Nord. I'm also wondering if possibly they somehow limit the amount of bandwidth any one customer is allowed. Has anyone else experienced this?
