I purchased by BJC 600 in 1994, I had no problem with it. Now in 2002,(after son spilled water on it), I cleaned the print head (found out Cannon does not make anymore.), anyway, it is up and running again, but am afraid, when it quits again.........that's it. I like the separate ink cartridges. Have a newer (1 1/2 yr old all in one HP 600 office jet), that stopped working about 2 months ago, just an expensive part time printer now)and the fixit shops say "lotsa problems with that model" and HP doesn't care, one way or the other, anyway hate to give up my little BJC if it stops again :-(

Garbage. Print head constantly clogging regardless of ink brand. Used Canon, Pelikan,
and a couple others. Pelikan worked the most reliably, but unless you do a thorogh head cleaning, and waste ink and time, it clogs up almost every time you go to use it. I talked to a half dozen other people that said the same thing. Paper handling was inconsistent and envelopes next to impossible.
Bummer, would have been nice to have a printer with separate cartridges for black and all 3 colors.
