It was a cheap mouse, but I've learned that cheap doesn't always mean nasty. Packard Bell is a good manufacturer, so perhaps its just an inexpensive mouse.
When I got it home, and plugged it in, I realised the first of its faults. The mousebody is incredibly tall, meaning I have to arch my hand quite a lot to use it. It is not comfortable. The shape is heavily ovalised, which exacerbates the discomfort.
The buttons make more of a snapping sound when pressed, than a click, making me wonder if anything just broke, each time.
However, it glides easily over my desk, except, sometimes the pointer on the screen doesn't move.
Basically a cheap, nasty and inexpensive mouse, in my opinion, and one I'd advise others to steer clear of.
