    3D2001 SE 3Dmark score. 4000+

I installed a new mobo and CPU.

Im getting between 4078-4100 3Dmarks for this system...

    Win XP
    Epox 8KHA+
    Athlon XP 1800 (default X)
    512 dimm DDR 2100 RAM
    7200rpm WD 20g
Ati Radeon 7500 with BETA drivers(6032's)

This seem OK? Theres two other drivers that I could try also for the video card.(they are not on ATI's website)

    Corsair XMS 3200 5-2-2-2 (430mhz)
    BB ATI 9700pro(8X)
    Maxtor diamondmax 7200 40g ATA133

Are you saying you get 4078-4100 3Dmarks with official drivers?

"Ati Radeon 7500 with BETA drivers(6032's)"

And getting 6032 with beta drivers on same sys.?

    I'm
I'd think you would do better than 4100.But I don't know much about ATI.I have heard people say that certain drivers can cause the perf. to drop.Hopefully one of them can help you.
    GOOD LUCK!

Hey!Not to be off subject here. But have you heard of any probs. with new Netscape and posts on this forum?

Everytime I use a smile face or whatever the post disappears and I have to press Preview post to check it,then it reapears.Like on the last post it put the confused face at the end instead of after "I'm"-I know why I just couldn't tell as it all disappeared? Guess I'll have to use I.E. on this forum as it doesn't do this.

He's saying that he's using ATi's Beta driver version 6032 (5.13.01.6032) and getting about 4078 to 4100 3DMarks with it.

The official driver at the moment is 6014 (5.13.01.6014)

ok, I found something, so fresh up your German

    Hi,
    mal ein Vergleich:
Board Abit, AMD 1800+ 2x256 MB DDR RAM
    default 3dmark 2001?
Auflösung: 1024x768 mit 32 bit color
    Antialiasing: none
    Frame Buffer: Double
    Z-Buffer depth: 24 Bit
    Texture: Compressed
    Rendering: D3D Hardware T&L

    Radeon 7500 Treiber alt (CD-Treiber):
    3dmark 2001 Directx 8.0 - 4580 Punkte
    3dmark 2001 Directx 8.1 - 4553 Punkte

Radeon 7500 Treiber neu mit Directx 8.1
    (8.1 wird benötigt):
    3dmark 2001 Directx 8.1 - 4893 Punkte

    mit 3dmark 2001 Second Edition:
    3dmark 2001 SE Directx 8.1 - 5014 Punkte

Wobei man sich natürlich fragen könnte was der neue 3dmark SE bringt.
Nur um mehr Punkte zu haben. Unsinnig?

    Geryon
since its mostly numbers, anyone should understand.

Facit: 3DMark2001SE with DirectX 8.1 and Radeon7500 using new driver should come up to approximately 5000 3DMarks.

thats seems like an average score for a 7500 after all it doesnt have pixel shaders right.
