    ABIT BH6 RAM problem

I am trying to upgrade my ABIT BH6 version 1 with 512 (2 by 256MB DIMMs) MB of PC133 memory. My machine will boot up after initial installation. But when I run programs like IE or windows media player, the apps crash after being opened. Does anyone know id there is a problem with running PC133 with the BH6 or installing 256 MB DIMMs? Thanks.

I replied in the Technical Support section. Please try not to double-post. It creates confusion.

Hay Bro, im on a BH6 same as yours, i did a upgrade same as your i got two Micron 256mb pc133 and no problems, but many say 512 isn't goo on win98 or WinMe not sure on Me but on WinXp no Problem, can be bad ram (can come new bad, thats a thing about ram) so allways get Micron or some thing with a good name.

If you get blue sreens then 100% bad ram ohh I KNOW!

PS: Also upgrade the Bios coz the stock one don't hold pc133 well, get bios at http://www.abit-usa.com
