Max Payne - Windows XP
I have WinXP pro and I also downloaded Max Payne. When I run it, it doesn't work. After loading, it goes back to my desktop. I tried downloading drivers for it but none are certified. By the way i have a GEforce 3 TI 500 vid. card
.....Thanks

Since you "downloaded Max Payne", are you sure it actually works?

Good point. I assumed he downloaded the demo.

Ya... My friend got the dl off kazaa and he uses it himself...i don't know what is wrong with it because at first, I thought it was either my spexs or our opperating systems that were making the difference. I had XP home edition and he had pro. He gave me pro and it still didn't work..... I'm sure it aint the demo b/c i played the game from the dl .exe file at his house.....
Thank You all for replying

Ooooooook.....
First, im not christian(not blaming u for not knowing)
2nd it is not stealing b/c im getting this program from my friend who is letting me have it so it isn't against me.....
3rd, my friend got it 4 me and i saw him get it wich leads to the fact that people got this game into 1 download not him he just downloaded it and that doesn't make this illegal
....I fight 4 my rights
by the way i don't steal even though im not christian

Ok well forget the Christian thing. (Sorry about that)
But If you have a downloaded game. That is still ILLEGAL
Plus sharing of games or software between 2 people is also Illegal
It is all in the Copyright laws.
That is a re-produced copy making it Illegal
The only way this wouldnt be illegal is if your "friend" completly removed all traces from HIS computer.
Now if your friend is no longer running XP pro . ANd has completely removed all traces of it from his comp and destryoed any copy he "may" have made. Than the OS sharing isnt illegal.
And it is just a gift to you(like a Birthday gift)
But, The distrubution of illegaly dl games is still illegal.

ook.. You can consider this illegal but it really counts when they sue the companies..... plus if they had kazaa on the news, and mentioned nothing about it being illegal, it sort of isn't. And when you own something, the creators can't force ou to keep it to yourself, you might not b able to copy it but you r allowed do give the ORIGINAL cd around without it being copied

I never ever sayed Kazaa was illegal because it isnt. But, it is illegal to download copyrighted material. Which is what is on Kazaa basicall except mabey some vid's or somthing.
But if he still has Xp pro on his computer and you installed from the SAME disk it is illegal.
Do you think schools or complany buy ONE copy of software and isnatll it 100 times.
NO, because it is illegal.

When you own something, intellectually or otherwise, as an American (other countries have different laws), you can pretty much do with it WHATEVER you please, as long as it doesn't oppose on someone else's rights.
This means if you own it, you can do with it as you please.
IF YOU OWN IT.
Read an EULA and you'll find out that you own nothing except permission to use one instance of THEIR property. You can't copy it, reverse-engineer it, etc.
