    3d mark comparisons - !@%#$#@!*&?

    Howdy,

I read through thread after thread in this forum, and look at people posting their 3d mark scores. They give all the system specs and a score, but rarely do I see what 3d mark settings they have used (resolution, color depth, and other 3d marks settings).

Obviously these settings have an effect on the scores, so how are we supposed to compare our scores without this information?
Is there some standard set of options that everyone uses that I don't know about?

Yeah, I always run at default, that is the only fair comparison to me.

Hmmm but won't it run the benchmarks at whatever resolution the desktop is at? I mean it will run mine at 1024x768 32bit color if I don't change anything...but surely the scores I see must be at a lower resolution (at least i hope they are!) .

I run at mostly default settings, but I disable SSE2 extentions because neither my PIII nor my xp1700+ utilize them. BTW, doing that affects my score in a positive way.

the tests run at the resolution you select not the desktop resolution. thats what all the clicking is before a test res changing.
