ASUS PRO7 w/Athlon and WD 20GB

Hey people;
Can't figure ths one out and I'm 44 yrs and in CIT and Networking @OTC in Springfield, MO...had a failure to boot, re-booted using Norton rescue and my IOMEGA zip disk...still failed. Gave up and decided to reformat and re-install Win98SE. Can't get a FORMAT, FDISK or anything to take affect from DOS. Am I missing the stirng? Help here...I'd be indebted. Only other choice is to re-buy or head for the repair shop tomorrow AM.

Is the bios finding the hard drive?...need to know that first.

When you try to fdisk and format from dos, you need a Win98 boot disk with format.com and fdisk.exe on it. Do you have these files on the boot disk?

It is in the formatting process now and I will know soon if my HDD is saveable at least. Its the simpel things that I overlook the most, so thanks for the reply...next ?
