I assume it's 3DMark2001.
Well, GeForce2 MX200 is limited by it's 64bit memory, which has a great impact on graphics performance
Same problem as yours

To be honest mate,
I ran 3DMark2001 on a computer recently - Intel Celeron 400, with lower specs than yours, but a GeForce2 mx400 and Detonator XP drivers, and got a score of around 1000.
Your graphics card is definitely the bottle neck in your system, and if you want to increase performance that's what you ought to look at upgrading.
With the RAM and Processor you have, with an equally balanced card you should be scoring more like 3000.

what would be a good card? And can I put detonator drivers on my card?

I don't see why you can't put detonator drivers on your card, give them a go and see. Obviously, the Detonator XP drivers I installed are only compatible with Windows XP, but on the nvidia website they have a list of drivers for most versions of windows.
A "good" card? It depends on what you want. If you want a card that'll play todays games at a good pace go for a GeForce 3 or a Radeon 8500. They've come down massively in price now because of the GeForce 4 release.
On the other hand, if you want a card that'll play tomorrow's games too, you'll need to go for the best card you can afford.
The GeForce4Ti4400 is pretty much the fastest card you can get now, and is much more reasonable priced than the Ti4600. If you can afford it, go for that.

New Vid Card
I agree that your bottleneck is your video card...and its holding you back quite a bit. Take a look at my system specs and you'll see why I say that:
PIII 533 slot-1 stock
Intel VC820 mobo
512 pc800 ECC rdram
diamond monster mx300 sound
20gig maxtor 7200
geforce 3 ti200 175/400 @ 203/475
Win XP Pro
using 3D Mark 2001 SE and the latest version of detonator (not beta) i get a score of 3550
Not a bad score for that old cpu
You can pick up a brand new ti 200 for $150 or less...and if you wait till after the 4's come out (early march) they will probably drop even more. Definately the best value for your money.
EDIT: forgot to mention...that's at default settings of 1024 and 32 bit
