    ati 8500dv w/3dmark2001 score of only 1450

    i just got a 8500dv and ran the 3dwinmark2001 second edition and got a score of 1450, i dont get it because i just had a ati 7200 and had a score of 2600... whats up with that???

    also i did install the latest driver from ati

    should i return this piece of junk ???

    can anyone help ????

    Did you install yer motherboard drivers???

    Do you have directX 8.1 installed??

    What are your system specs??

    yes i do have direct x8.1...and yes the mobo drivers are installed

    i'm running winxp pro
    msi k7t turbo limited ed. w/ via kt133a chipset
    with amd xp 1600+
    60 gb western dig. hd 7200rpm ata100
    740MB pc133 ram

    no i haven't....

    i was thinking about returning it to compusa and the stupid receipt says "15% restocking fee...."

    now that sucks.... i'll lose about 53 bucks...

    you give up pretty easy test on your other comp if you have one if not find a friend and test it and let us know about the situation after you do that
