    IWILL KA-266 PLUS motherboard

Ok, here's the new problem for those of you brave enough...

    Specs:
    IWILL KA-266 PLUS motherboard
    1 ghz athlon 266 cpu
    30 gb hard drive
    128 mb ram ddr-2100 266

    1. When I boot the computer up, it boots as a 750 mhz. cpu instead of 1 ghz. I've changed the multiplier in system bios, still to no avail. 750 mhz.
    2. The RAM comes up as 200 mhz. instead of 266 mhz. I've changed the clock from 100 to 133, does not help!

    3. Hard drive comes up as ata 66 instead of ata 100...no clue on this one.

Again, thank you in advance for any help you may submit...It is truly appreciated.

    The Uncle

i have the KA-266-R, and I know that has a jumper just bellow the memory slots, which sets the FSB at either 100 or 133MHz. I have i in the 133 positon, but I CAN still change it in the BIOS's SPU smart setting menu (I have never tried to do this when the jumper was set at 100MHz though, and I have never tried setting it to lower than 133).

I have that at 133 now, system does not run very stable, and the memory and cpu still run at 200 mhz and 750 mhz respectively instead of 266 an 1000

Just a thought. Maybe you should update your bios by flashing it? Go to the Iwill web site and download thier newest revision for your particular board. krag81
