    Motherboard Problems

I am using the Abit BE6 motherboard and just upgraded the Bios. Now i cannot boot from CD ROM anymore and would like any help if there is any setting i can set aside from the boot sequence option in the settings.

Also, the pc cannot shut down completely when i go shut down on my w2k. It tells me that it is now safe to turn off my computer... a real pain!

Thank You for any help rendered!

dont know about cdrom issue, I will think on it...

as for the not shutting down in win2k do this:

in windows, right click your desktop and select Properties from the menu, on the properties box, select the ScreenSaver Tab. Once on that panel, click the Power button. Then you will get several new tabs. Select the one that says APM, on the APM panel check the only check box there, click ok, then ok back to desktop..then reboot.

Hmm... do not see no APM tab. Only see Power scheme (Always On), Advanced (which only allows checkbox for the power icon to be at the taskbar), Hibernate and UPS.
